This project seeks to transform viewers into participants through a series of five (5) interactive installations along East Grand Avenue. Using transparency, playful images, place and repetition, the installations invite the public to create their own vision of the work while also creating a unique destination and sense of place in East Village. The visual language borrows from emoji, transit signage and the backdrop of East Grand to foster an awareness of our changing emotions, our external networks and the invisible connections that we share.
